ape,
sexual assault, car-jacking, kidnapping...the list goes on
and on. How did our society evolve into this?
t
was the 1950's and the front doors to homes were left unlocked.
The cars were beautiful chrome and lots of curves. There were
soda jerks, poodle skirts and real rock and roll. Crime? Sure
there was crime. But not today's crime. Today when internet
hackers can take control of Corporations, terrorists are using
cell phones and sexual offenders sit in chat rooms to find
innocent young victims, is technology the problem?
f
course not. In fact, these criminals would be taking on their
latest victims in other ways if technology wasn't here in
full force. T echnology is here and will only get more advanced.
And it will benefit us in many ways. Internet blogs would
not be possible if the internet had not kicked off in the
90's.
here
are more rapists, kidnappers, serial killers, homicide/suicide
bombers, sexual offenders than ever before. Why? Populations
are steadily on the rise. The more and more people there are,
the more criminals will evolve.
o
what do we do about it? We sit back and let it happen..NO!
You can't afford to sit back and let your homes and family
and friends and children and grandchildren be invaded by these
vile, disgusting, thieving dirtbags!
Awareness. We must be aware of everything
that goes on around us. There are so many crimes that happen
to unsuspecting victims. Think about it. How many times have
you gone to the mall, parked your car, gotten out and went
straight to the entry door without once looking around the
parking lot? That one strange, greasy fella' with the trenchcoat
was watching you from the shadows only a few feet away thinking
about what's on the menu for the evening. If you were an older
woman, or pregnant, or with hands full of shopping bags, he
was waiting to pounce on you and steal your purse. Remember:
Thieves prey on the 'weak'.
o
just looking around and making eye contact with the dirtbag
could have prevented him from thinking about making you his
victim.
wareness
is number one above all else, because even if you have a weapon,
you must be aware and not complacent in your surroundings,
otherwise that weapon will do you no good if you are not ready
to use it at all times.
Handgun, Martial Arts training, Pepper spray, Stun
gun, Personal alarm, Yell at the top of your lungs...something,
anything. Awareness is most important. But arm yourself with
something that you can use if you have to.
dirtbag's favorite victim is one that is not likely to be
carrying a gun. But when he grabs that 'defenseless old lady'
and she sticks a Stun gun to his neck, guess what? He becomes
the unsuspecting one. The ball rolls into her court.
eep
our generation and our future generation out of the arms of
the villain. The police respond to crimes that happen. But
we are the only ones there to police ourselves when the crime
is about to happen.
